![]() Google actually started phasing out these apps in 2020, but now, with the release of Chrome version 112, the company has officially brought down the guillotine on Chrome Apps for the desktop, instead ushering in PWAs. They generally offered a compromised experience of cut-back functionality and glitches (not sizing properly for the screen they were being used on, for example).
